I have Ipomoea coccinea seedlings, hummingbird attractor.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

My small Orange Morning Glories (Ipomoea coccinea) are now popping up all over my garden due to self-seeding from last year's vines. These small red/orange flowers are what brought the hummingbirds to my garden. The hummers ignored my feeders, I never saw a single bird at them or anywhere in my yard, and I became frustrated with trying to attract hummers. However, as soon as I had flowering I. coccinea, the hummers appeared and stayed around to check out my other flowers!

The I. coccinea seedlings are now at the 2-leaf cotyledon stage, so they are easy to ship and should transplant easily. Contact me if you want some for SASE or plant trades. There is a chance some of the seedlings may be I. quamoclit (Cypress Vine) since I had both of these vines last year, but the hummers seem equally attracted to both.
