Laurie cuttings you gave me are doing really great !
They have rooted and growing nice ! Soon they will get larger pots or the ground. I did not write the name down of this off of plant. I will get it later and edit if you don't see this first !
When I first got the cutting it was small and the leaf touched down into the soil. How long have I had this ? Not long right before you went on your trip !

Does her tag say 'Irene Nuss' if so, you're gonna love her blooms! She's a pro!
Never lets me down, hasn't stopped blooming in over a year. She's got a bit of mildew or something causing spots, but otherwise carefree and gets big.
Thanks for sharing her, she's probably ready to go into your side yard now. Feed her some elenors and watch her perform!
Here's her mom, taken last year.
Oh yes that's her ! Thank you. She sure rooted and grew fast. She will be larger than her Mom soon. Can't wait for her to bloom !
She's so beautiful ! Is your's outside in a pot ? I see a hanging plant there also ?
She goes outside in the spring, summer and fall, but all my tenders go into my greenhouse the rest of the winter. I wont bring anyone out until the last full moon in April. &/or the threat of frost has passed. (old farmers almanac thing)
They don't seem to mind the cold as much as the frost. I have Sophie Cecile on my front porch, right at the edge, we got down into the 20's and she did fine, but would have melted with out the protection of the overhang.
Give her morning sun, but no direct hot sun (like over on your side yard would be perfect) She wont take as much as your dragon wing (Birthday) begonia. Perhaps if you slowly aclimated her but I keep all of mine but semperflorens in dappled light to morning sun/afternoon shade (of course we get up in the 110º in the summer)
Check out the other photos of her http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/58117/index.html
Thanks Lali love her ! I'll be adding my blooming pictures to the PF before you know it :))
I get confused with the Laurie/Lali names but now figured you are one and the same.
This is one gorgeous plant, I have been wanting one since seeing Happenstance's images (I always want every plant she posts anyways!). Shouldn't be too hard to find I figure, being it's so popular.
Sue, I can send you a cutting in a few weeks. one of the big growers has it, I just can't remember who. some on over in half moon bay or a bit further south like San Marcos Growers? Wish I could access my hard drive files (brain) but I just cant recall who.
I have two, one is looking a bit spotty or I would send you a stick. ( I could strip her leaves and neem her, but gee that's not very nice to send out)
Now that spring has sprung, my other one should be popping out with some new foliage. Are you going to the round up?
Oh thanks! Maybe we can trade plants. I got LOTS of daylilies! Unless I come across one in my nursery haunts. This constant rain sure is putting a crimp in that though, grrrr. Glad that I made it to Annie's and Berkeley Botanical last week at least at least.
No, not making the round-up, I will be at our daylily club meeting and auction that same day. So many things each weekend, the summer is booking up fast already!
Ok, I put it in my notebook to remine me. thank you so much, but I'll pass on the daylily, I'm sending the one that I have away.
I'll keep my little Stella (I think that's her name) not much of a daylily person, but hanging around with Kell just about wooed me over. She bought one that made me slurp and drool over the flower. Cant for the life of me remember the name.
I hear you on this rain. I had a crew her installing a new fence and we only got half a day in, then got rained out. =(
Doggies get their own half of the yard this year. I'm over them running through my greenhouse dumping begonias everywhere as they play 'Chase the cats'. Guess I will have to wait until the rain passes to have peace of mine (the fence is also because rotten little Miss Sophia chews up my drip system and pulls name tags out of plants-go figure)
Looking for the picture of you with her lali but I can't find ?
Admitedly, he's pretty irresitable! those eyes! sheesh!
Sue, Penny needs a hat like Precious' (I swear, I laugh out loud every time I look at her photo with that darn hat on!) (chuckle chuckle)
C'mon Joolz - you know you wanna post a kitty shot, go ahead, come on, show us a kee kee!
Oh my sweet EYES !
Lali Precious wants to know where we can buy those Chicken snacks ?
Precious needs to watch the mail!
Cute Butch!
HI CASS!!! WAVING HAND!!! I've missed you on the boards,
