How long have you had the plants ?
When was the last time they were trans-planted ?
Are they in light soil-less mixture ?
The first one looks like it could be re-planted in a new pot proper size , light soil-less mixture is best. You can remove a little soil on top and bottom. Check root ball for any bugs, mealies trim root ball and damaged roots if needed.
It looks like it is not getting enough light reason for long leggy look.

The second one Trans-plant , light soil-less mix. I use 60 percent Prelite. The longer I grow and it's only been a couple years. lol The more I learn the lighter my soil-less mixture gets ! Always use new pots, proper size and a pot that has been bleached soaked clean .
Use a pot according to rootball size and plant. Example a 12 inch plant will go into a 4 inch pot. Take some old soil off top and bottom, check for mealy bugs and any other. Cut off old roots and some of rootball if needed.
You can take the outer row of leaves off if they seem old. You can also put them down to grow new babies to share. lants need 12-16 hours of non-direct light.
This plant looks more tight . Hard to say when not in person.
How old is the plant and when did you last trans-plant ?
Maybe others have other ideas :))

the long legged one i have had just far a little while,
they all sit in the same window getting the same amount of light everyday,do you think the vf-11 would make them grow like that,i have just started useing it and i notice all my plants are really growing.but i will do like you said
the fat one i have had far awhile maybe 6 months
i thought maybe it needed transplanting, i have been reading all your threads far the soil but i guess i have missed it somewhere along the way

For soil to stay simple you can use any packaged African violet soil, MG potting mix and so on and add 50-60 percent perilite and water to slightly moist mix well.
VF -11 like to work alone. It's a must to fulsh soil and not use fetilizer just plain water for a month before using this product. Or trans-plant. When I fisrt used it a couple years ago os so I trans-planted all plants. All into smaller pots as I fount out when I joined a local group all my plants were in pots too large. Then it was a good month or so before I got my VF-11. But no VF-11 would not do this.
Their just growing and enviroment changes . The long legged one you have not had long ? Where did you get it? Maybe it had been grown in low light and not groowmed. If it's too leggy and has a neck more work will be needed. I have recieved plants that were leggy and had to take all outside leaves off ( I put down to grow new plants ! ) and re-pot in new pot, maybe smaller maybe larger depending on size of what it is in now and size of plant.
Let me see if I can find links for you with pictures.

This Is just one reason
Reason why plant growth may be leggy.
Pot Size - Too Small
Please read ;
http://www.optimara.com/doctoroptimara/diagnosis/potsize-toosmall.html

Distinguishing Symptoms

Rootbound. The roots are growing out and around the rootball.
Elongated neck forms above the soil line. This happens when the older, lower leaves of an African Violet die off. As a result, the neck (sometimes called the stalk or main stem) becomes more and more exposed until it appears abnormally elongated, i.e., more than 1/2 inch long.
If your African Violet has this symptom, its pot size is too small.

Other Symptoms

Not flowering.
Plant growth is slow.
Plant growth is rangy. This will be seen in the elongated leaves and stems.
Treatment

Repot in the next pot size up. In general, pot sizes for African Violets come in 1-inch increments. Therefore, if your African Violet is potted in a 4-inch pot, repot in a 5-inch pot.

Be sure to use what is called an Azalea pot. These pots are more shallow than standard pots. Their height is three-quarters the size of their diameter at the top of the pot.

Before repotting, remember to disinfect the pot with a 10 percent bleach solution, i.e., 1 part bleach to 9 parts water.

If your African Violet has developed an elongated neck, you will need to pot it down. Do not be confused by the term. "Potting down a neck" has nothing to do with "potting down," as the term is normally understood. In fact, when potting down a neck, you do not use a smaller pot. Instead, you either use the same pot or a larger one. In the case of your African Violet, you will, of course, be using a larger pot.

The procedure for potting down a neck, especially when going to a larger pot size, is simple to do. After removing your African Violet and its rootball from your existing pot, add just enough potting soil to the bottom of your new pot so that the leaves of the Violet are resting on the rim. Next, add fresh potting soil up to the top of the neck, i.e., where the leaf stems of the bottom-most leaves issue from the main stem. Make sure that the new potting soil is pressed down firmly. When done, be sure to give your African Violet water and let any excess drain.

Second Reason And please read give why, how, what to do to fix, how to prevent.
Sunlight - Not Enough
For African Violets to thrive, they need a lot of indirect sunlight. While a lack of proper sunlight is fatal only in the most extreme cases, it can nevertheless result in poor performance, including diminished flowering, yellow leaves and rangy plant growth.

Not flowering.
Plant growth is rangy. Leaves and stems have become elongated

Another cause it
Temperature - Too Warm

These are just causes from my study / reading Docot Optimar

Pot size might be off. Most plants can use to be re-potted every 6 months but don't always need a larger pot just new pot and grooming.
Here is great info from Rob Violet barn !
Question: I'd like information regarding ratio of pot size to plant.
for answer
http://www.robsviolet.com/faq_page_4.htm#pot%20size
> Always a good idea to put a leaf down from each plant we get, one for me to share babies ! and two for insurance if you lose your plant you have another growing.
In Rob's sight he has lessons with pictures here is one on repotting !

He has one on rerooting an old plant

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Oh they will be Ok to wait until you get home to re-pot ! One important thing let Hubby know under watering is better than over. NUmber one Av's die is from too much water. Use warm water , not cold. And not hot buring light. They will all be fine !
When you get home I want to send you more plants and leaves :))
