This mosaic violet sold for $57.99 (item # 7752565781)
and it doesn't seem to be rare, another seller had one too. (item # 7752194651) which sold for $8.52 just an hour later or so.
Crazy!
Skies Over Italy (Tinari) Small purple bloom, Lillian Jarret foliage. Semiminiature
Wacky Ebay
People are nuts to buy plants for this much. If they wait they will get them lower or check Vendors they can get nice size blooming plants for under $6.00 .
crazy..
Oh Laurie and the two price difference wow what's this ? People don't shop aeound ?
It was all in the photography! I think people in general fall in love a/ a photo and if the same plant, different photo looks different, not so WOW! then they are not going to bid so high. Perhaps Blossoms and Birds needs to invest in a new camera or possibly Rainbow Violets is "enhancing" their photo?
And no, people don't shop around. Some folks shop ebay convinced that they cannot find a better price. I have purchased plants off ebay thinking I couldn't get them locally and then found them locally for less, especially when you consider shipping costs- the 1st buyer paid 64.99 (including shipping) and to me that is way too rich for my blood!
I've never even paid that for a begonia.
Well I did pay $53.00 for A chimera, and 50.00 something each for two of David Senk's plants but that was a long time ago. Can't do it anymore.
I think it is also the thrill of the bid. I won't go on ebay any more. I want to win and I just keep bidding. Like you say. It's crazy!!!
one plumeria stick recently went for $500.00 on ebay...several others 200.00 and more...there was once a person who just loved to shop and win....could care less about the plants...the person spent 100's just for the thrill of it.
Oh how cute, she is one of my favorite casual type artists. Very nice.
Jungle Bob- please tell me those particular plumeria were at least rare! That just seems beyond ridiculous, but what do I know?
Pam they are so pretty !
