I did not get a chance to plant my tulip bulbs last fall. It is still in the low 30s here. I'd like to plant them in a large container. Will they bloom? How deep should they be? TIA! Tamara
Big time procrastinating
Yes they will - actually 30's and 40's are perfect rooting temperatures. I planted some tulips I'd forgotten about (they had been in the refrigerator) very late about a month or so ago and the leaves and buds are coming up now. Have you kept them cold?
Well, they have been in my basement, inside a little room that is about 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the basement. It's pretty cold today. I think I'll plant them while I'm waiting for bus to drop off my son. When should I water them? Should I use bulb fertilizer? TIA, Tamara
