Hey guys this is for all you Butterfly People. Yesterday I took my kids to the Chatt. Aquarium and they now have a butterfly atrium. I was mesmerized!! Beautiful colored winged little(and big) creatures EVERYWHERE!! I wish I knew more about them to share exactly what I saw but alas I've nerver study them. One worth mentioning though was this very camaflagued, big as my hand fellow. Not very interesting when his wings were raised but oh when they spread out the top was this brillant violet blue that was breathtaking!! If anyone gets a chance I recommend the place 100%.

The big one was probably a Blue Morpho. They usually have those in the exhibits. They are beautiful! They usually sit with their wings closed too which makes it hard to get pics.
Is this it?

That one was there but the other one was much bigger and the blue was a little different.
Hmmm...much bigger and different. Was the blue lighter? I think these pics make the blue look darker than the actual Morpho looks like in exhibits. I don't know of any other butterfly that is bigger. Just thinking about them makes me want to go to an exhibit. :)

We live right near Chattanooga and have a family yearly membership to the aquarium! My favorite part is the butterfly exhibit! Did you see the part where they are actually hatching??? We got to see one come out of its little caccoon! Some of those thigns are beautiful in themselves! Like someone painted them or something!
