We got the cover off my rock garden today and so I could get a few pictures
of the early bloomers. First - the crocus in a full garden shot:
The start of bloom season (not cheating this time)
Nevermind the beautiful plants(now there's a phrase I thought I'd never say), look at those fantastic rock walls!
:-)
The big one in the background was here when I bought the property and the littler one
in front which makes the rock garden I put in a couple years ago. This place is rock
heaven. I grow the best rocks here!

Cute draba, Tammy, and the crocuses are just gorgeous!
There's probably something blooming in my garden, but it's too wet to go out there and see. It just keeps raining and raining. I don't remember March ever being like this.
Looking good for the start of the season - at last!
It looks so nice and sunny there in your pictures. Lucky you, to have sun. As I sit here and enjoy your pictures it is in the 30's outside and snowing. Those are some great looking little plants. What variety of Allium are those just to the side of your Draba?
I also have to comment on the pot sitting on the edge of your rock wall. It's a very interesting looking pot as it appears to be half a head. I could have some fun potting up a planter like that.
I don't remember what alliums are there! I'll check my notes.
And that pot is fun! I had a big bronze carex in there a couple of
years ago and sat the pot between two heucheras (which looked
like earings).
As I was thinking "ah its finally spring" yesterday I noticed the fluffy
white snowflakes coming down. its COLD but I'm thinking that means
my bulbs will last longer. The iris reticulata melt in just 2-3 days in
many springs. This year we might get them for over a week!
