Now that co-ops are allowed again, is anyone interested? I was thinking in terms of a fall planted bulb co-op prior to the fall roundup and division of the bulbs at the round up.

co-ops again
Helleboras would be good--they are sooo expensive! Wish I could remember who did them the last time for $1 each!! Or bulbs, I need Hyacinths again and Columbines.
We could also check with Towilaga plants and let them deliver to the swap! http://davesgarden.com/gwd/c/3889/
I would love a co-op of double helleboras. Vi, if you want the regular ones, tell me how many. I have tons!!!
OMG! Bring 'em!
Will do!
Beth and Vi,
I would def. be interested in a fall bulb co-op; would love to be in a hellebore co-op as I don't have any of those [always put of by the $$$]
Fall bulbs - count me in.
I'm with BG,too much invested to lose.
i'm new to the boards. howdy, ladies.
hellebores sound wonderful!! i could certainly use a few.
Can anyone recommend a good hellebore supplier? Isn't there a grower up in the northern part of our state? Get me the contact info and I'll see what I can do, after all the worst they can do is say ,"No".

You're thinking of Piccadily Farms in Bishop, GA. I'm not sure how many varieties they have, but they have a lot in sheer numbers.

This place sounds like what we need! http://www.sunfarm.com/ordering/
Hey Stephanie.. I'm up your way some when we go to Lanier :) Welcome... I've been wanting to make a day trip to craven pottery which I know is another hour or so from there... but I could make a trip while the "boys" are fishing! http://www.cravenpottery.com/
No co-ops for me right now. (famous last words) I could open a nursery for all the plants in pots right now... But I have new beds going in all over the place and the goal is to get them in the ground!

Ok, I am ready to place my order with Van.Engelen. If anyone wants to order some particular item but does not want to pay their minimum order,I will be happy to let you tail gate on mine. For so many years I wanted to order from them, but could not afford the $50.00 min. order plus shipping. Now that we sold the albatross (house in Birmingham that we did not live in, could not rent out, but none the less had to make mortgage payments on for FIVE years) I can afford Van Engelen.
I plan to order Crocus tommi. in several varieties, muscari , and other minor bulbs. Current plan is to make the order in two weeks.

For you Hellebore lovers, one of the master gardeners in Clayton County usually has seedlings for sale at their plant sales. I got ablout 30 for a buck each about a year ago. They are now 5-6" plants! My 3-year old plants seeded themselves this year, so I know I'll have more seedlings next year. They'll be anyone's for the asking, if you want to be patient. Problem with seedlings is, you just get ordinary Hellebores (hush my mouth, there's no such thing as an ordinary Hellebore). Got the older ones at Piccadilly Farms annual sale, and spent a fortune, so pass me downs are definitely the way to go if you are patient enough to watch them grow. I will be happy to post when Clayton County MG's have plant sales, and will bring seedlings from my plants to the plant swap. Hellebores--gotta love 'em.
did ya'll see the woodland garden co-op going on now? Hard to resist new varieties of toad lilies...
