Anyone live in the Columbia Basin?

West Richland, WA(Zone 7a)

I am new to gardening in the Columbia Basin. We moved to the Tri-Cities about 3 years ago and gardening is different here than where I grew up in Western Washingon.

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

There are two in tonasket a quite similar area. Rutholive is one. Send her a Dmail. Tricities is a good area to live in. Lots of freeways and no cars. How perfect.

Kennewick, WA(Zone 7a)

Hi ! I live in Kennewick and have been trying for 3 yrs to "make a silk purse from a sow's ear" in my 1/3 acre. Can't say I really am very happy with everything in this area, but I have lots of plants; from miscanthus, roses, daylilies, daisies, russian sage, sedums, hibiscus and lots more. The KID irrigation is a big part of the irritation that I feel with its mostly hit or miss delivery filled with weed seeds. But, I keep trying. This spring I have more weeds sprouting than ever ! On my senior fixed income there is little extra to spend on eradicating weeds so there is lots of work. You have a nice couple of nurseries there in W. Rchld. I have purschased plants from both of them, but my favorite is Mac's in Pasco where I've struck up a friendship with some of the employees and the owner.
