As Sadie Sue is enduring less food to lose weight and preparing for surgery (luxating patella), the vet said she could have medicine to help with pain. Any suggestions on what works and what is safer than other medicines? All she does now is sleep behind the bed; she must be in pain. The vet said Golden Retrievers don't show pain, but plow through it, sometimes hurting themselves in the process. Any thoughts are appreciated.
