CLOSED: HAVE: Louisiana Black Gamecock Iris
Is there anything else you might be interested in? I have been drooling over that Iris for a while now, but unfortunately, don't have anything on your list.
Thanks,
Sheila
Hi Shug,
Love your name, it reminds me of The Color Purple, Shug Avery.
Hmm. Well, I can be tempted into other wantings.
What would you like to trade? :-)
I would be happy to send you cuttings of my Blue Bird Rose of Sharon but unfortunately I don't seem to be able to root things so you would have to root them. I would suggest waiting a little bit as it's still frozen here in Maine and I would prefer to wait until after it bloom but you are welcome to some cuttings if you don't find it somewhere else.
I have attached a picture of it for you.
Kim
Hi Kim,
Ooh, that one is pretty, but we'd better not go that route.
Have you anything else to trade? :-) Karen
Wuvie,
I don't have anything in huge volume. Maybe since I don't have a bunch, would you be willing to trade a smaller volume? I do have the daylily Jungle Princess. I also have Hedychium 'Ayo' or 'Dr. Moy'. I also have Kaempferia 'Satin Checks'. I also have several bulbs of Freesia that I can trade.
LMK if any of these items is tempting. I also have different seeds if you are interested in those.
Thanks,
Sheila
Wuvie,
Unfortunately here in Maine everything is frozen solid still. We are the last ones to thaw so I have NO idea what made it through the winter yet. I don't grow cannas as they need to be dug and stored every year and I don't have the means to do that. After reading more about the Gamecock it seems it need LOTS of water. I don't think it would be happy here in my acidic sand and I'm not sure I could keep it wet the way it requires.
I thank you though and if you get to the point that you would accept postage, I would love to try a couple just to see if I could make them happy somehow even if I bury them in a pot with no drainage holes. I could still send you cuttings in return if you decide you'd like to try to root them. I know many other people have had great luck rooting them but I can't root ANYTHING. I just think I have a green thumb and then mother nature puts me back in my place *lol*.
Sincerely,
Kim
Karen
I would love to have one of you gamecock iris, I raise peacocks and ornamental pheasants, I would love to have one to mimic the birds I have. However I dont have what you are looking for.. I only have a very small tropicanna canna and that one I am planting this year.Check my list and maybe you may see something you would like in return. Let me know ok.
vicki
will send you a stuffed box of cannas for a box of your iris...
Hi Bob, you have Dmail.
Kim, gotcha covered.
Vicki, Shug, Dmail for you, too. :-)
I can check my black bamboo to see if it is willing to part with any of its offspring. It doesn't spread very quickly, but there may be some fresh small "pups" that I can separate.
Jeremy
