does anyone know where to buy this plant? or does anyone have one to trade? almost eden in la. sells the plant but they are out. has anyone ever bought from this company? thanks. barbara allison

They are easy from seed but it doesn't sound like you want to wait for blooms. LOL I may have a spare but since I moved in November I am not sure if they are still in pots or if they got planted. If I locate them soon, I'll let you know.

badseed i would forever be in your debt if you sent me one those plants. are you still wanting an elephant ear? i got some in a trade earlier this season from a very generous trader here at daves. i think they are coming up now. i have them in pots. i could send colocasia ruffles if you are interested. or if you will wait a little later i can send a start of the black ee. i got one from home depot and it ought to multiply soon. lmk. and just thanks for even offering to send me that plant. barb

Barb, I found one large pot with two plants in it and it's not marked. I am pretty positive that is the White TX Star. Send me your addy and I'll mail one to you. If it's the right plant, you owe me something and if not, you get a surprise. LOL I am pretty sure it's the right one. :)

i am forever screaming in glee when i am on daves site. i am so excited. i sent this guy in pakistan some plants not knowing how long it would take them to get to him. he wanted a rex begonia as he said they had none there. i looked and looked but couldn't find one. but i wanted to send him something special. i went and bought a pilea "moon valley" and a fittonia "red anne". because he wanted house plants with foliage. he got them today and he says they are as perfect as if they had just been sent. he loved them. he has never seen plants like that. isn't that the neatest thing. i just wanted to share that with someone. he is sending me some gloriosa climbing lily seeds and that is why i wanted to send him something special. i have wanted those lilies for a long while. and now i am screaming again to know that i don't have to wait till summer is nearly over to get one of these. now back to you and me and that tx. hibiscus................what would you like madam? kaleem and i got what we wanted, so now it's your turn. heehee

LOL Isn't it nice when things work out? Now remember, there is a slight chance it's not the right one but I really believe it is. The only hibiscus I had not marked in the back yard were those. Matter of fact I totally forgot I had them until they bloomed. They were a surprise for me. :) I grew them from seed the year before, planted them and that was that until I saw them then I laughed at myself. I'll mail you one on Monday and hopefully it will bloom quickly for you down there in TX. We'll have a real good idea when it leaves out. Don't worry about me until we see what you get. hahahaha Who doesn't love a mystery and a surprise? If it is not right, you don't owe me anything. Or if you want, I can stick it in the greenhouse until we are sure then mail it. I'm easy to get along with.

oh please go ahead and send it. i have the hardest time knowing what to send folks in the colder regions. i am sure i have something but just don't know it. i checked your page but i didn't see any wants. but i saw your picture. you are a pretty lady. what kinds of things do you like? because while i am waiting on this to bloom i can be looking so just tell me what you have been wanting or at least a family of plants that you like. just do that for me. thanks for your generosity.

My body lives in the midwest but my mind lives in the tropics. LOL I grow some of everything. I'd miss the seasons and the plants I could not grow without the cold winters if I moved south, but I also get tired of dragging around 25 gallon pots so I can grow stuff that should not grow here!

would you like a mexican firespike cutting? mine is red. i have a small flame vine that is rooted. i even have a mex. firespike that is small that is rooted. and when i say small i mean they are no taller than 2 inches right now. but they are healthy. can't get cuttings on the firespike that's in the ground here yet because it is only beginning to come up. i have some kerria vine..........pompom style yellow flower. turk's cap shrub. brazilian rock rose. wine cup. spider lilies. malvia zebrina that i dug up from a parking lot yesterday.....it was growing thru the gravel and has thick root. i have mult. asiatic lilies i could send. if none of that interests you never fear i have more but that ought to get you started. hahaha lmk. barb
