The forum has 586 pages, but it only advances by about five numbers when I click next. This means that although I have read the first thirty or so pages, I have to keep clicking to get farther on in the forum, say to page 75. Is there an easier way to do this?
How can I jump from page 6
I think you'll just have to continue to hit next if you're wanting page 75. Are you looking for something specific? If so, doing a search would probably be easier. Or, if you know who originated the thread, you can click on their name and look at threads they have started.
I just looked, to make it a little faster, you can click on the last number shown. For example, if it says Pages 7,8,9,10,11.....next, click on page 11 and then the last number the next time.
I did try clicking on the last number, but do you realize how many clicks it would take to get to say number 360? Then if I wanted to continue where I left off the next day, I would have to do it all over again.
My library lists films over a thousand. In order to find a film beginning with the letter S, I have to guestimate say
700, and then re-estimate again. At that point I start clicking back or forward to reach the particular title. (I know I could just write the title in the search part.) but this is an example.
Why couldn't they add a little box so that the user could type in the particular page at which he/she last left off and go directly to it?
I guess I should go to the "contact us" part of the forum?
Go to the "Dave's Garden" forum and ask Dave. He is really good at replying quickly. Seems like I've seen this question before.

Bookmark it at the page that you last looked at. When you return , that is where you will be.
Gloriag I have had the same question too forever. I give up usually after a while. There must be an easier way.
change your preferences to 100 messages per page
then click on one of the page #'s at tht bottom
& the number in the address above will be the page # minus 100
so if you want to go to page 58
change the number to 5700 etc.
