Nice Wallaby. Where is it reticulated?

Denver, CO

On the tips of the falls(or outer petals), on top of the gold bit. That's still really pushing it, though.

Thank you soferdig, yes it does provoke thought! Having looked carefull I would say there could be a little on top of the gold, but then if you look at the white bits at the sides of the gold there is a sort of 'reticulated' effect.

When these plants were named I think there was a bit of stretching the truth sometimes, or perhaps as they were naming so many new plants as the plant hunter found them it was the small differences that separated one plant from another.

If you would like to become more educated on the subject, here is a good link, and note the logo!

Alternatively, here is a cheaper option!

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=reticulated

paying attention to the 'adjective' meaning of the word, "the reticulate veins of a leaf";

but perhaps the word used in biological tems 'reticulata' as a latin word may mean the biological structure of the veinous make-up, I prefer to see the patterning as the reason.

And if that has whet your appetite, here are some more

Now when it comes to something such as Citrus reticulata I am struggling, perhaps it is the netted veining on the skin, or the membranous segments!

Now do you wish you had not asked? Hehe

thanks for the info. I was trying to use the veterinary term reticulated ligaments to understand the Iris. It wasn't computing.
