red brugs
The red brugs are sanguinea. They say that they're difficult to get to root from cuttings, but they grow easily from seed. They do like cool temps, and don't tolerate heat.
I have tried from seeds nothing. so maybe .. going to try again only have couple left now so i'm hoping... If anyone does have a cutting???
Twyla

Jean I still have not received anything from the trade we have since Nov. 06. Please contact me as soon as possible.
Twyla, before I joined DG, a few years ago, I started 5 G. sanguinea from seed. I believe I bought the seed from Thompson & Morgan. As Mary said, they were easy to start from seed. All 5 germinated and had grown into sturdy one footers by the time April 1st arrived. The day time temperature rose into the low 80s and one by one, almost over night, all, but one shriveled up and died. I managed to baby that one through June before it too died. They really can't tolerate heat and that was the summer that didn't start to get really warm untill early June. Now, if I can talk my husband to put an air conditioner in my greenhouse, that the first seed I buy.
