I don't know if this is in the appropriate forum, but my husband and I are from Texas so I'm posting it here. We went on vacation to Disney in Florida in December. Our favorite park was Epcot; they had Mickey pumpkins in the "Land" exhibit. They create them by placing the pumpkins in forms as they're growing. I thought they were really cool!
cool Disney pumpkin
Those are cool pumpkins! Anything generally goes here if you can remotely relate it to TX...at least the folks here have always been very forgiving towards me! lol
Those are too cute!
LOL cute charlie
Did they show you how the forms were made?
Yes, they did show us how the forms were made. They were 2 piece plexiglass type frame, held together with screws. The forms were clear, and were placed on the pumpkin when it is tiny. The forms stayed on the pumpkin (on the vine) until they filled the forms. They also do this with other goards and cucumbers. It was really cool, we toured their "public" greenhouse.
