Koi, Sarassa's, Wakin, Ryunkin :) He's not interested in fish tho. I put out some beef liver near the spill way, hopefully he eats. A friend who is a bird expert says he must not be feeling well if he's hanging out in a yard in the city :(

I had one hanging around our yard not long ago, but we live on the edge of a very small town. It seemed to like our big maple tree. but then we have rabbits and squirals running around too. I wasn't sure but one day I thought I saw it takeoff from the pond. I don't think I lost any fish. I am not surprised at anything that stops at the pond just like to watch what does come around.Great pictures. thanks for shareing

What IS he? Almost reminds me of the time a very large heron was casually perched on the side of my pond. The ending was not so happy as yours, I'm afraid.

It's a Harris Hawk, they mostly live on rabbits, squirrels and small birds. No threat to fishes :)

Very cool! When we lived in Phoenix there were hawks and bats around quite a bit. Odd when you live in the middle of the city but very nice to see some wildlife!
