Where do you get your tools?

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

Where did you get all of your tools that you use on your AVs or any other flowers? I found some tool kits for African Violets on ebay but they were rather expensive. I would be interested to know where most of you got your tools since I am trying to build up a good supply of tools myself.

Old "Fiskar" art scissors. -They have nice, pointy tips. I sterilize (with candle) my pocketknife between every cut. Wendy's plastic spoon. Some take-out chopsticks are very useful. I don't reckon these cost me much, Jesse. Take a close look at your needs and see what you can do about it.

I don't have any expensive tools . Just about like Kenton. When I went to my first AV group for show in tell a lady had a trailer that would not trail they took the crown off with a pencil tip and I got it :)) And she took a crown off another plant I won with raffle ticket with tip of a pencil too !

It does not have to be some special tool as long as it works. I have seen the nice tool kits but I'm more into what works, not what looks cool. Thanks for your help.

same as the above. Plastic spoons, chopsticks, Q tips, hydrogen peroxide and alcohol from the medicine cabinet.... turkey baster from the kitchen drawer. Xacto knife from the crafts drawer. Sports bottle top from a small water bottle, screwed onto a taller bottle for watering. I do have a set of metal measuring spoons set aside for chemicals. I mix water up in old 1 gallon water bottles.

I've been using this little metal thing that is for picking pecans out of the shell. : )
