O/T O/T O/T used priority boxes

Lilburn, GA

Hi!

This is the second time that I go to my local PO and they have run out of small priority boxes. They just have big ones so I was thinking...Can I re use them? I have two that were sent to me. They are perfect. If I change the label, will it be OK???

thank you

Silver Spring, MD

Sure!!! Just make sure the new label covers the old one.

You can re-use them. You may also order on line and get them free and have them deleivered to your home free. I keep a suply of small and larger all the time.

Your welcome Anna

I also turn them inside out and re-tape the box. Then ask for priority stickers at the p.o.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

FYI, when I ordered my USPS Priority boxes it took them over a month to get them to me... well, that's why I ordered boxes in fall, long before I'd be needing them for spring trades!

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

yes - they do take forever. I ordered some in January and still haven't received them.

Oh drat!

I am going to order them now.

you can pick them up in person at the post office too. (but you will have a line to deal with more than likely)

Since our town is only 5K peeps - we have short lines.

I guess I've been Lucky :)) I order they send a email thanking me and say they will come in 7-10 days ! Most times I get them in less than a week :))
I had ordered a few more cases when Laurie was coming just in case she needed to do some packaing. My reg. Mail Person bring mine with the mail. Does yours ?

Denver, CO

I just accidentally found out that one can give the mailman a package, some approximate cash, and he will take the parcel, and leave a friendly orange envelope with the change in it the next day. Nice! He also said that the USPS.com Postage calculaltor was almost always accurate.
Kenton who likes the idea of flat rate boxes and want to ship a brick for kicks.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Bricks for kicks Kenton lol Sounds cool and silly ! I fount sometimes /lots of times cheaper not to use Flat Rate boxes and use other boxes so check it out before you ship. Not to mention the boxes are two sizes and small.
I won't let them mail person take my boxes of plants I don't want them driving around in his truck in the heat all day. He keeps his two doors open as he has to drive from ome to home and he does it fast. Hubby takes them with him to work early AM and as soon as the Post Office opens he brings them ! I feel better for me this way !
