CLOSED: Have Rose Hips from the Cherokee Rose

Anderson, TX(Zone 8a)

I have plenty for either SASE or trade. I am a passion flower freak, but like to try all different kinds of seeds. (tempt me)!

Warning! This is a very invasive & aggressive rose.

Jessaree,

Do you have any cuttings?

I don't have any rooted cuttings, but would be glad to send you a few clippings for you to try.

Just put some of those in the pack you are bringing me to the reunion. I will take anything! lol I do have seeds that I am bringing for you to see if you can tell me what they are. I know one is that scrubber sponge that you bathe with, don't know how to spell that. But am not sure what the others are. I DID know them when I put them in that container and never wrote them down. Bad me. I never thought that I would be interested in planting then.

Yeah, I forgot to add that little bit about bringing some for you this time...are you talking about loufa sponge? would love some!

THAT'S IT!!!!!!!! Thanks and you can have some. They have beautiful huge yellow flowers that bloom before the sponge gourd comes on them.

eyesoftexas, I don't have any cuttings. I don't even have rose. (WHISPER!! I did STEAL a rose hip off a friends bush but she doesn't know yet, nor would she care though!) I would love to have some roses though cause that is my favorite flower. I love drying them. My husband brings me roses back sometimes (he's a truck driver) and he comes in and I'll be asleep, and the next morning I find a bunch or roses in a vase sitting on the cabinet. He's so sweet. Oh, listen at me, running on about my husband. You'd never believe we've been married 9 years! with me going on so. Anyway, I just wanted to know how you know when the rose hips are ready to pick. The one I stole was red and had 9 seeds in it. Do you still dry them? Or just plant them?

Let me know someone!
