what is a sticky and how do i get it?

If you go to our African Violets and Gesneriads forum main page http://davesgarden.com/forums/f/av/
the first two threads (with the word 'Sticky' after the thread name) is the 'sticky' link. Sticky means the link stays at the top all the time so it's easy to find. (like a post it note)
It stays 'stuck' up there so we can access it easily. The two sticky links we have are filled with all kinds of info for growing AV's and Gessies.
