Hi there,
I am looking for a description and photo if possible for a Ballet Fairy Queen Sport if anyone can help.
Thanks a bunch!
Joanne
Need help with description or photo if possible
Sorry.... checked FC, and 'Ballet Fairy Queen' (sport or not) isn't in the database. May be time to download that latest update!
I'll try googling... There's a mention on the AVSA site about 'Allegro Roulette' being a registered sport of 'Ballet Fairy Queen', but that's all I could find... http://www.avsa.org/Library/sports.htm
Ok Joanne I think this is what you ask for what Jill said the Sport of Ballet Fairy Queen (A. Fischer)
Registered Sport that is ;
Allegro Roulette (9165) 01/27/2003 (J. Stromborg) Single-semidouble dark magenta ruffled pansy/frilled edge. Dark green, round, ruffled, scalloped/red back. Large

This great Sprot link can be fount in our Sticky too !
Do you have one of these plants ?
They are both Canadian Hybrids
Hi Allison and Jill,
Yes that is it....am attaching a photo of the one I have. I had no idea I had a registered plant....I was going thru my AV's today indexing them all so I know how many of what I have and I found that faded tag in the drain dish and had a hard time figuring it out.
Oh I am just so happy to have a brand name AV!!! Woo hoo!
Thank you both for your help.
Joanne
Yup that's it :))

Hi Allison,

Joanne

Allison, I couldn't find it in FC... maybe it was just added... I have to download that latest update!
Hi Allison,
The only place I would have got it would have been at a greenhouse in the City about 10 years ago. It was probably a baby then and I would have paid about 8.00 because it had a name.
I don't know for sure but it isn't too likely I would have gotten it from someone but you never know I guess.
How long does it take to get your FC? I paid via paypal online and subbed to AVSA as well on Thursday I think but haven't heard anything back.
Joanne
Hi Allison,
Wow!!! Can a sport really vary that far from the parent?
Joanne
Jill it's not in FC maybe it never got registered or made it there ?
Yup Joanne Sports can vary anyway they want from Mom plants. It's fun and amazing :))
For every hundred leaves put down one will sport. This is a lot. And sometimes you can have a plant foliage ture and blooming true and one day it just starts to Sport !
I like Sports they can be very interesting . Never know you might be able to name it someday !
Joanne I don't remember how long FC took. Sense their mailing the CD and it's going to Canada it could take longer. I'd wait a couple weeks if you don't hear or get it email Joe Bruns he is very helpful.
Check out some of the registered Sports !
