Our Buddy is an old guy and had been moaning recently. He had this growth on his anal area that the Vet said I should keep an eye on in case it would bother his ellimination.I attributed the moaning to this but decided that while he was under to have his teeth cleaned.
The Vet removed the growth, which he said is normally in an unneutered male caused by testosterone levels, I believe. He gave it a name, but I don't remember what he called it. It sort of looked like a hemorrhoid but bigger.
Anyway, they did remove it. It turned out he had two teeth that were really bad and had to be dug out. Poor thing. I do hope he feels better now. He had to have stitches in his gums afterwords.
Here he is wiped out after the ordeal. I gave him some water and he fell asleep again right at the dish. LOL
He is neutered by the way, so don't know about that growth. A woman receptionist there said she had a female dog that had a similar looking growth.
Hope his little mouth and bum are going to be ok now. I hate to see the old guys suffer as it seems to hit them so much harder than when they were young.
