Healthy Diet Tips

Houston, United States(Zone 9b)

Hi. I have been trying to change the way I eat for about 2 years now, not for weight reasons, but for reasons of eating things better for my body. I have cut red meat almost completely. I have found that Morningstar products are really good as a soy substitute for beef, they have all kinds of variations (ground/patties/"sausage"). Having switched to this has been even better than just not eating beef per say because the prep is much faster for me. The patties come pre-shaped, cooked and seasoned. And it's almost the same price per pd of beef to eat them. You just heat them in a drop of olive oil and they crisp up and never shrink too much for the bun. Love them!!! Think they are a better tasting brand than Boca, which I also tried. Thought about switching to Soy milk, not because I'm vegan by any means, but I haven't heard anything proven about cow milk being healthy but my gosh, the cost is way too much for this!!!

Figured this post could be for anyone who has something healthier they've added to their diet they'd like to share in the way of a recipe using an often neglected vegetable, an organic product or brand, etc. I'm always open to trying something new!

Have a blessed day!
