What a gorgeous scene...such blue water. There has been a blue heron come to our pond the last two summers. I guess he's after the catfish in it. The ducks don't like him at all and flee to the yard when he arrives.
'Ferrari' is lovely, too.

anna...i suspect that one time i didn't water it right...(i'm pretty good with the water routine)...and it has never really recovered...i need to take it out of the pot..shake the soil off and repot it....it's not doing well...
shirley...i'll bet the blue herons loves the catfish...lol...i should dig out a pic i took of a huge blue heron..about 3 ft tall..on the fishing docks here...one of the guys fishing threw it a fish and i thought the heron would choke on it...but finally got it down...lol...here's the pic..it's a bit blurry..but you can see the fish he's trying to swallow
He looks like a pelican with a pouch. ; )
Did you observe him the whole time he was eating? How long did it take him to get it down?
Great pictures. We were in Louisiana two years ago. I love to watch to water fowl.

shirley..on the heron...oh yes..i must have 100 pics at least of the blue herrons...just down the road from me about 2 miles..so not far away...and that day...it took him about 30 minutes to swallow that fish...i really thought he might choke

Well you can't beat the double red ruffled flowers ! And outstanding variegated foliage. I love rose colors in foliage.
