This is it's second flush since it went into the greenhouse in November. I didn't think it would put out another flush since it has 11 seed pods from its first flush. Audrey Hepburn is quickly becoming a favorite.

I love that name. Is she an elegant lady when her blooms are perked up, Veronica? Sounds like the bees love her too.
Kell, she is elegant. She was a little dry when I took the photo. I should have given her some water yesterday, but I spent a good portion of the day rounding up a cow and her newborn calf to put them in the heifer pasture so I could keep an eye on the little guy, who is running a fever.
This a pair of blooms from her first flush. I really like her form. I wish I knew who the exact pollen donors to her pods are. Solid Gold, Rosamond and Citrine were blooming at the same time her flowers were open. The greenhouse was full of bees, attracted by the blooming citrus trees in there.
She is elegant Veronica. Mystery pods are fun. A total surprise!!
So you live on a farm with baby cows?? I always wanted to live on a farm growing up. I love animals. Can we see a picture of the baby? I sure hope the little one is OK!
Yes, as a result of my husband's midlife crisis, but I've had to become the cattle's main caretaker. Quite a change from life in San Jose. Very traumatic at first, but now I find it relaxing. The cows don't mind having the Gator nearby and the calves, being curious little beasties, love to lick and use it as a large scratching post.
The little bull calf is at the vet's. He and his mother will be there for several days. I'll take a photo when he gets home.
