Not my pics - somebody sent it to me- dont know anything about them.
Butterflies with transparent wings.
Those look very similar to extremely rare strays we get in south Texas (zone 9)
They made headlines out here.
Broad-tipped Clearwing (Pteronymia cotytto)

and Thick-tipped Greta (Greta morgane)

Those are lovely dainty looking butterflies...do you know where they were photographed? In a conservatory or out in the wild?

No idea - somebody sent me the pic.
Those are so cool!! I've only seen pics. Cat, have you seen them in your area or just read about them?
The butterflies links I posted are from our local NABA chapter and they were photographed at the NABA park and Bentsen Birding Center in Mission, TX which is a 22 mile drive away from where I live.
I never did get to see them myself - on the days I drove out there they never made an appearance :o(
All I got to see what everyone else's photographs :o)

Oh well, I guess that gives you another butterfly to look forward to seeing.
I love Buckeye's and was so excited when I saw my first one in my yard! I am still waiting to see a Luna Moth and a Mourning Cloak! The only Mourning Cloak I have ever seen was sitting on my fountain, dead! I had seen something on the edge and then when it never moved I went over to see what it was. It was so weird, just sitting up on the edge, but not alive. In a way tho I was happy that it made it's last stop here. What's even weirder is that's the way I saw my first Monarch, dead on a plant. I do have plenty of lives ones too tho! lol
