WANTED: Black Knight or Royal Red Buddleia

Edinburg, TX

Howdy,

Am looking for rooted buddleia - Black Knight or Royal Red.

I live in zone 9 and have the following rooted plants to pick from:

(1) Bouganvilla - White (24"+ stem)
(1) Bouganvilla - Gold (18" stem)
(1) Wild Texas Mulberry - sweet fruit (24"+ sapling)
(2) Hibiscus - cooperi? Leaves are variegated and blooms are red (several branches 12"+ tall)
(1) Orange Trumpet Vine (several branches - trimmed it back to about 8")

Send D-mail if interested.

Montreal, QC(Zone 4b)

If no US member answer you about the Royal Red I could send you some for postage only (that might be expensive though).

Fruitport, MI(Zone 5a)

Texas, Would you be interested in some seed? This was the 1st time that collected seed from buddleia. I hope they germinate well . They are the Black Knight. If you don't want seeds I can take some cuttings in the spring. LMK

Lawrenceville, GA(Zone 7b)

Hi,
I could send you some cuttings in the spring. That would be great to do a trade for some bouganveillea. Let me know what you think.

TPP, can you get them to grow here? I've tried twice and no luck. What is the secret?
Wallyworld had some in last week, they were in those green plastic bags with the grapevines and blackberries.

Calalily the trick is total or near total shade.

Oh, so that is why they croaked! I had them in full, hot sun. I wonder if just one more plant will fit in the shade garden..........

Edinburg, TX

I'll have to check out wallyworld. Got an order pending at Lowe's...they are not sure if they will get them in.

I have two lavender ones that are on the north side...and receive shade for the most part...but very few butterflies frequent them...again, possibly because they are shaded?

Haven't seen any buddleia at any homes around here...makes me wonder.

I have them here but they have to be in good shade... and yep very little butterflies due to the fact they are in the shade... one of the choices I guess to make. They might make it in more sun if they had loads of water - not sure this would work but just might work...

Edinburg, TX

Well...I had planned to use the ones I got in trades and plant them at each end of my driveway...which is full sun...am re-thinking that now...possibly will clear out a spot or two in the yard where they can get partial sun and shade. So many ideas...but no handyman or landscaper-in-training in sight :o) Ha! Ha!

I still want to grow the black knight and royal red. Will water and fertilize them to make sure they grow here!!!
