Need an I.D.

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

I bought this plant a couple summer's ago without a name on it. It has been growing in the greenhouse ever since. My plant is about 5 ft. tall now, this is just a cutting off of it that I recently rooted.

Thanks, Patricia

Take a look at Dracaena sanderiana. There is a lot of variation in the variegation.

Oh beauty! And love the begonia behind it too!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I love that one, where did you get it Patricia? 5 ft of variegation, can't beat that.

I see your escargot begonia is so happy at your house.

I think it's the Mexican Flag... Campelia zanonia

They're nice. I've got one, too. Not too much light or their leaves will begin to brown! Also, don't let them dry completely out - same result.

I agree with Carter on this one...I have it too.

The telltale sign will be a very fine red margin on the leaves.

They're known for getting leggy.....we moved mine recently and discovered that one stalk was about 3.5' long!!

Carter, you are right. That is it. And you are right about the light Carter. I have mine on the side of the greenhouse that get's the warmer afternoon sun and I have noticed some browning. I am getting ready to bring it into the house.

I found my plant at a nursery up around Mendocino. It roots very easily and grows pretty fast.
