Bayleton ?

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

Am about to replant my plumie which I had removed from it's pot and stored for the winter. That was probably a mistake this year as we had so little cold weather it would have done fine outdoors.
Anyway, I have the liquid Bayleton; do I drench it right away or let it get settled in for a bit first. I don't want it to develop rust as it surely will. Thanks

Ardesia, I have been waiting for someone who gets rust to answer you. I don't get rust here because of my dry climate, but I know it is a problem in Florida and other humid areas. Liquid Bayleton is supposed to be great, and I hear that the granules work well too. I would repot your plant and make sure it is out of domancy and settled in a bit before you drench, but I can't see how you can go wrong either way. There are some other sprays that you can use to combat rust. I think Neem Oil sprayed lightly on the leaves is supposed to combat rust and be a natural fungicide. Maybe one of our pals from Florida will weigh in on this.
