i have a little story for you about that tree,i have been five years looking for seed for it spent hours and hours on line hunting gave up last year.came to this site and surprise guess what i now have yup seed for that tree.I hope you get some for it it is a very nice looking tree. some books say it is hardy to zone 6 others say zone 5 i hope it zone 5 im 5b.e-mail a local botanical garden that told me its zone 5.

I bought some seed from some small fancy local garden center from "Seeds of Distinction" because they looked so exotic. Now, I must be honest...I live in an apartment and have absolutely no place to plant a tree:) The funny thing is last spring/summer while driving to work I noticed that along the side of the road in a fairly unkempt ditch area all these tall trees were budding out. Guess what...yup, royal paulownia trees...at least 30 of them. The blooms were gorgeous and pretty long lasting. I think I paid $4 for those few seeds:LOL: I'm sure you'll enjoy them, absolutely amazing in bloom!
