Coming home from the chiropractor vet with the dogs I just had to stop at the Nursery - by passed all the seeds but just had to buy these pretty primroses. The purple one is from last month. They will go in the garden in the spring. Sometimes I lose one before I get it in the ground - they are a bit difficult to nurse along until April or May and I usually repot them into big pots they get so root bound.
And I bought another pot of hyacinths too! Ah well they go in the garden too!

I couldn't resist.................
How could anyone resist. You got a lovely mix of colours too Carol. I bought a few too, twice. Have some like yours and some obconicas, i think they were. Should be repotting soon too I guess. I add a few more to the gardens every year, after enjoying them inside.
I have a hard time remembering what colors I have ( apart from the deep blue one which has exploded all over the garden) Every year I say I am going to make a list - the lady in the greenhouse said take pictures! Good idea now I have a digi camera. I think I got all new colors this time.
I got three the same, and one polyantha the first time. The second batch were all pale pink polyanthas I think. Don't think I took any pics of them this year.
ahhh the addictive powers are starting to fruit. I can't wait to go to the nursery so today I drove out there and they had a seminar on getting the garden ready for spring. Hey we actually got through the whole 2 hrs without any questions on deer proofing. But I did get talked into using sulfur on my garden this year to lower ph. Everything is better in the acid. Got a great pair of muck lucks reg price 39 on sale for 10. Also bought my cold garden seeds. Bok choy. I love the stuff. I eat it like carrots. I will not buy plants, I will not buy plants, I will.......
Lovely fancy. I remember planting one, that had finished blooming, outside (when I lived in North Battleford) and being soooooooooo pleasantly surprised when it came back the next spring. With reasonable snow cover they are amazingly tough.
