Hi all
I planted about 1900 tulips this year. I started just before Christmas while it was still cold. Then the warm January came. I kept them in the fridge for at least 2 months, some longer. Still, many of them are really stubby. Thank goodness most are blooming, but they are coming on at very different times than last year. How are yours doing?

How are your Tulips this year?
wowee, 1,900 tulips! can't wait to see yours bloom, cynthia.
there is ONE tulip bloom right now. lol.
Well, I hope you post some pics for us! I can't believe 1900 tulips, either! (-:
We don't even have one tulip at all because of the (dang) deer and rabbits so we must enjoy yours!
I'm sorry to hear about the darn deer. This year I planted several 100 plants in my little greenhouse. They were doing great, had been transplanted into 4 inch pots and 6-pks. Like was good....then some rodent and his kin decided it was a salad bar... took them down to stubs.
I hope these links from another thread work

Ah, yes, I saw those pics on the other thread! So gorgeous.
Now let's see some more!?
Those are FABULOUS! Color me green with envy. I love the orange and yellows together.
cynthia-- such beautiful colorings on your tulips! And I love the white-faced purple pansies for contrast! And the pretty fence lined with tulips!
I bet your neighbors love to have you on the block! What joy you must bring to them!
Keep posting as they bloom!
p.s. Is Arlington a suburb of Houston? What is your Zone?
Wow- those are beautiful pictures!!! The one with the squirrel is cute- I love squirrels. My tulips are up but I haven't seen any sign of blooms yet. I can't wait for them to bloom though I didn't plant nearly as many as you. :)
Arlington is in the Dallas-Ft Worth metropolitan area - Arlington borders Ft Worth :-)
loveshercowdog I can't imagine so many beautiful tulips blooming and all that color!!!! In northern Missouri lots of people plant tulips but the daffodils do better over the long haul in our part of the country. Tulips often decline from year to year in our area but we just replace them with new bulbs and they are nice for a few years. I love tulips and all the many colors they have now. Yours are gorgeous.
