Last summer I met a member of the daylily society who invited me to join. While talking to him he asked me if I had rust in my daylilies. I told him that I didn't and he said that I would before long and that "everybody" did. I assumed that he was referring to the daylily society folks, so I didn't join.
Is there anybody here that is a member? I would be interested in joining, but I sure don't want to introduce rust into my garden. I just don't know what to do.
Daylily Society of Greater Atlanta question
Dunno, I got some daylilies from Kris in Savannah, she had rust and wanted to get rid of them, but I didn't have it here. Maybe they need good air circulation? I don't water much either. Funny, you'd think they'd be experts, huh?
Yes, you'd think. Rust spores are airborne, so if we get one plant in our garden it could infect all of them.
