There is a listing for this on ebay if anyone is interested. They have 40 listed and it is a Dutch sale.
ELEPHANT EAR - COLOCASIA Plant 'Nancyana'
2pugdogs,
Please enlighten me as to what a Dutch sale is. Sorry for having to ask.
Thanks for the tip.
Judy
Lets say they have 30 to sell, and the starting bid is $1.00. The first 30 are sold for $1.00. But the 31st person to bid won't be able to buy at $1.00 they will have to bid higher in order to get one. Then the 30th person looses there bid to the 31st person.
Does that make sense?
Dutch sale is they have multiple for sale, not just one. If this is the person/group I think it is, be prepared that although the plants are cheap and healthy, they are also SO very very small that you have to really nurse them along for a good long time before you have a plant. Many I have recieved have been in 3 or 4 inch pots. but the plant itself is very tiny, like less than a seedling, with a leaf or two. If you're willing to wait, and willing to put the time into nursing them along, the plants are always healthy.
I've bought from him, his plants are very tiny(plug size) but healthy. He sends them first class mail, but mine have all been very well packaged and in good shape when they arrive.
Nancyana is a pretty fast grower. Its in the wintertime(usually February or thereabouts) when I lose her, even though we don't freeze.
Yes I have bought from this seller before. The plant I got is doing excellent. I did go through all his feedbacks and he does have a lot of repeat buyers. He must be doing something right.
Once I get my Nancyana I will have time for it to grow before I will be able to place it outside. I won't start putting out my plants until around the first of May.
I also won 2 more EE's from Brian. I need to slow down, my GH this winter was pretty full. But I love it.

Linda......."slow down".....you crack me up......
