CLOSED: Korean Mint for trade

Monroe, NC(Zone 7b)

I have 6 nice healthy clumps of Korean mint if anyone would like to trade. Very good culinary mint. Quite fragrant.

I have forget-me-nots, red Yarrow, and red honeysuckle vine to trade, if you can wait about a month for me to send them. It is just the beginning of our spring and most everything is poking it's head up, but not everything. Also, we are having sudden cold snaps where it gets down into the teens , and I would hesitate to mail any plants yet. Lou

OK. Sounds great. The Yarrow and the red honeysuckle vine would both grow great here. It is a little too hot here for the forget-me-nots to be happy in the summer. How many would you like? There doesn't seem to be a big run on the mint so if you want all 6 I will send them to you. When would you like them sent? I can send right away if you have a place for them until it warms up.

IHi Jackie! OK I'll go ahead and close this thread and send three mint clumps to each of you. Jackie I would love a soapwort. It would go perfectly in my cottage garden and I don't have one. Dispatcher, feel free to send may any that you have plenty of except the forget me nots. I'll send your plants on Monday.

Welcome to spring! I love seeing everyone on line again and the trading forum active again!

Hi Jackie: I got the soapwort today. Thanks very much. They are happily getting a drink right now and will get planted tomorrow. I think they will be lovely in my garden. Thanks again for the trade.

Robin the mints came today, in good shape. I have not seen this mint before. I am assuming they, like my other mints, like a wet enviroment. I am planting them in a kind of bog area around one of the ponds. Hubby loves running over the edge of the mints when he mows.........

This is an odd mint because it gets very tall once it takes off, like 2-3 feet! I have mine planted around a big boulder that is actually pretty dry. I think it is tough and would probably grow just fine any way you do it. I bet if you put it in a wet area it really goes wild! You might just make it a little too happy. Be careful. Mints always seem to secretly want to take over the world. You can probably divide up those clumps so you have more to plant around. I think this mint is pretty tough and wouldn't mind too much.
