I had one rooting that was growing out of the jar so I potted it up into soil. Now its dying back.
Any ideas on where I went wrong or what I can do to revive it?

Help planted into pot now its dying!!!!!!
I had the same thing happen this week. Good roots, one nice branch with big leaves. Two weeks in the pot and the entire branch wilted and died. I took the cutting out of the pot and checked the roots, they still look good and I can see little nubs like another branch is about to sprout. I have lots of cuttings doing fine so far. The wilted one is Dr Seuss. I was also wondering what went wrong.

I have lost 3 lately, they had nice roots and leaves and just died.
It will probably put back out if the roots still look good. I potted up 17 that had rooted and had leaves and carried them out and forgot to bring them back in and they got frost bite and lost all their leaves. All but 4 have put back out.
Lavina, do you have a picture?? Did you pull it back up and look at the roots? I have noticed that when my cuttings are newly potted up they are very susceptible to rot so I must water very carefully!
Isn't it so frustrating!! Also it is winter still in a lot of places so things do not have the growth urge yet.
Yelp pulled it up today stem is hollow and no roots anywhere. Did I over water it recon?
Wish I knew how to use my camera to post pictures. I will find someone soon to show me how its done.Got the camera last fall.

I bet Doris would send you the same directions she sent to corgimom.
You do need to be able to post pictures to really enjoy Dave's to the fullest. Too bad you do not have a Tom. I remember when I was learning, I kept yelling. TOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM and it worked every time for me.
So did the cutting ever have roots? I think it is still too early for things to want to root easily in NC.
