Would you be so kind as to leave me feedback? It seems some people don't want to trade if you dont' have a feedback rating :)
LOL..since I have not done much formal trading...those who I have sent leaves or plants to. I would appreciate your help on this :)

~Lorry
For those I have sent leaves and plants to
Yes Lorry good Idea I will leaves you one ! Please leave me one.
Also like Lorry if I have sent you plants or leaves please leave me a feedback. Thanks. Allison
What do you mean by feedback? Do you mean a formal feedback system on Dave's like the nurseries are rated? Or do you mean, THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!! : ) ???
Yes, DG has a formal feedback system for trades. You can get to a member's "Garden Site" by clicking on their name on a post or Dmail or by typing their name into the "memberlist" search. One of the options you'll see on the Garden Site page is to leave feedback for the member... you can also see feedback they've received & feedback they've left for others.
I sent you my feedback Lorry. The only problem I found is that I was limited to how much I could write. I wanted to write more good things but could only write so much.

JesseK, I left Ali feedback and even though the box was small, I just kept on typing and all of it showed up on her feedback. So at least on my Mac it isn't limited.
Allison :) I already left you some yesterday :)
Thanks so much guys :)
You are too kind!
When I was typing and it reached a certain amount, it just stopped moving for me. It would not allow me to type anymore. I wanted to say more nice things about you Lorry but it would not let me. But everyone here should know what a wonderful person you are. And you send wonderful boxes and you pack them all so carefully and securely. Thanks for sharing your plants with me. I am going to repot some of them today because I have them in pots that are way too big for them. After I get them all repotted I will post some photos. They are so cute and I'm so proud of them. I do not have any babies from the leaves yet but I'm still waiting. But the tiny little plants are so cute. Would you believe that I have never seen a tiny plant like the ones that you sent me. Not in person. All that I have ever seen is the basic ones that you buy at Walmart. So getting yours was quite an experience. DH said I acted like a kid at christmas.

That's odd as the original purpose of the feedback system was to warn traders of unsatisfactory trades and not good ones.
Unfortunately, people equate it to the Ebay feedback system and want to see positives as well as negatives. I tend to trade on faith unless I see something negative posted.
Jan...
I have found that most of the people here that I have done any type of transaction with is really nice. I guess it depends on the type of people you deal with. Everyone here at Daves has been very good to me and helped me so much. I am pretty new at gardening and have not been able to send people much yet but I can't wait until I have more things to share. It really is exciting to me to be able to share things with the people that I care about. I have found myself telling lots of people that I meet about DG and some are really interested. I never thought that trading plants, seeds, even information could be so much fun. I am so glad that I found DG and am so glad to have met all of you.

Jesse,
how are all your cactus and succulents doing? Do you have them catalogued? If not, how do you remeber all the names?
I am in the process of getting names for most of them. I am also making an online photo album that allows people to leave comments. So what I am hoping to do is let everyone here visit my album and leave comments, such as what kind of plant it is. And I am always doing research to find out the names of them. A lot of them already have names. My biggest goal is to make a spreadsheet (or journal) with the names, dates that I got them or rooted them, where I got them, etc. I think that will be a lot of fun. So what I am doing right now is going through all of them as I move them around and finding names for the ones that I don't have. My album is halfway done, I just need to take photos of the rest of them. I am the type of person that likes to know the tiniest details of whatever I'm working on. So as soon as all of the photos are online, I will make a spreadsheet (or journal) with all of them listed and the details about each of them. And my DH is putting together an online journal for me so that I can start keeping track of everything that I do for them. I would like to keep up with the date I potted it, where it came from, when I last fertilized it, etc. I think it is going to be lots of fun. I am about halfway there in getting all of this complete. Then I will put it online for everyone to look at the photos and read what I have done with each one.

I think both positive & negative feedback are important, and I'm glad folks are posting feedback for each other. I tend to check feedback only with folks I don't "know" from their posts, or when I get Dmail requests from names I don't recognize. I've been burned a couple of times on trades, but I've also had some wonderful packages from very generous DGers, and I have to say that the balance is very much positive when it comes to trading on DG.
When I was organizing the Secret Easter Bunny Trade, I got advice from a couple of people who'd organized similar exchanges since I'd never done one before. They said to look for at least one (positive) feedback, preferably on a plant trade, and to ask new subscribers to wait for the next trade.
Well, I've been a newbie myself just a short while ago, and I figured we had plenty of time between October & April for people to figure out successful methods for packing plants, but I did decide to go with the advice of looking for positive feedback. It was hard to have to turn a couple of people away, and I sure hope nobody took it personally. I'm willing to take a risk with a newcomer who doesn't have feedback yet, and I did say I'd be quite willing to arrange a spring trade with them directly. However, I wasn't willing to take that risk on behalf of the SEB Trade, because I wanted to be doing everything possible to ensure happy bunnies!
Hmmm, this reminds me that I've received some recent seed trades.... and I need to leave some feedback! :-)
om gosh...i didn't even know about leaving feedback...where does one do it...or should i read the above...lol...
If you click on the name...it will say leave feedback for this person :)
