Excellant News!!

Paris, TX(Zone 8a)

As some of you already know, I've been in the process of spaying/neutering a colony of feral cats that live in my backyard. So far, I haven't been able to catch any of the cats that were already adults when I moved here, but I have been able to catch and have the offspring fixed as we can afford. It has been a very slow process, because it seems like when I finally get them done, Ms. Grey (an adult gray tabby female, who is responcible for most of my herd), or Sophie (a black medium hair adult female) would give birth to more.

Well, today is a glorious day, because I'm happy to report that we've just caught Ms. Grey. We also caught one of the younger males. We can only afford to do two at the time about every other week, so It has been, and will continue to be a slow process, but I'm very pleased with this particular victory. With Ms. Grey spayed, the number of kittens should be greatly reduced, and if we can catch Sophie, it would be almost none.

Well, I've got to go now, because it's almost time for us to meet the "Critter Getter" at Walmart, so they can be transported to the low cost s/n clinic in Sulpher Springs. Please pray that they will be ok. I know sterilization is a very routine operation, but I always worry about my babies when I send them under the knife. (cringe)
