Looking for a few Cyathea Medullaris....
Not necessarily in San Diego, but there is a big fern show every year at the Los Angeles arboretum and they often have them there. Also you can contact LAIFS, the local fern club... they will probably know someone who has these. This species in not rare, so should be easy to find. Last year Tropic World near Escondido had huge ones for sale cheap! But last time I went they were out. Maybe they will have some again this spring. Call them
