Looking for red violets

Hughesville, MO(Zone 5a)

I am looking for some of the old fashion red violets. Does anyone have any to trade or for postage. I know shipping will have to be in a month or so due to the weather.

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Are you seeking african violets that are red?

Hughesville, MO(Zone 5a)

No. I want the hardy kind. I had some a few years ago but lost them to tunneling vermin. This time I will put them in planters.

Mobile, AL(Zone 8b)

I have one that needs trimming. Do you know who to root them?

Hughesville, MO(Zone 5a)

I always just divide my clumps. I've never had to trim them. The violets(violas) I want are grown outside and are hardy in zone 5.

Mobile, AL(Zone 8b)

Mine must not be the same kind. They grow in a terrium and trail all over it. The flower is bright red but looks just like an african violet.

Modesto, CA(Zone 8b)

Is that a red Viola odorata?

K, were you asking me or tk? If me, it might be.

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

Is this what you are looking for?

I don't have it but maybe someone will recognize it by the picture?

The foliage doesn't look quite like it but it could be. The ones I had looked just like the wild purple ones but they were dark red.

Mobile, AL(Zone 8b)

That is not what I have.
