Happy birthday! (Is it Pat's, or Rob's, lol?) Whichever, hope you're having a great day!

Thank you all for the birthday greetings! Today has been a quiet day after a surprise family get-together over the week-end to help me celebrate the beginning of a new decade. As my mom said today after viewing photos from the event, "I don't mind getting older; I mind LOOKING older!"

Marylyn, the mountain laurels are growing well in my little greenhouse. I would not turn down a few more if you have them to spare as I plan to share with my mother. I tried cracking seeds like Donna told us to, but mine still rotted before they sprouted.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in College Station in April,
Patricia

Happy birthday Patrob! I've been meaning to write you. Those daffodil bulbs you gave me all came up and bloomed! They smell sooooo goooood. I thought they would smell like my jonquils. Oh WOW. They are something'. Tom took a picture, but it's still captive in the camera.LOL He's really good about taking pictures, but getting them in the computer or printed is another matter. I was really kind of thinking they wouldn't bloom because I planted them kind of late. After they bloom, do you fertilize them with bone meal or what?

Patrob, my hostas are growing! Well, atleast one of the ones you gave me is coming back. The other one hasn't done much yet. However, I bought one at Lowes last year in a 5 " pot and never got it transplanted to a bigger pot, then winter came and the leaves died, I thought because I didn't water it. So all winter I just thought it was dead and never watered it. Well guess what, it's growing! I think it's Francee. In such a small pot, I thought sure it would freeze. I have another one in a bigger pot that's not doing anything yet. You just never know.
