Plant database on PC and Compleat Botanica

Franklin, TX

I am looking for a plant datebase to put on my laptop so that I can log, study, etc. Texas wildflowers in the field. Don't need anything "fancy" but would like to record basic botanical info, comments and pictures.

Recently purchased, installed and have studied Compleat Botanica until I went cross-eyed. It is very complete and probably good for the professional but I find it too complex, not very user friendly, poor documentation and rather dull printed reports.

Would appreciate any ideas or comments on my problem.

Thanks in advance for any help.
