I'm back!

Painesville, OH(Zone 5b)

Hi everyone! It's been awhile so I'll re-introduce myself. My name is Tamara and I live in Ohio. I am a SAHM to 3 boys--5, 3, and 5 months. I had to stop gardening last summer because of my high-risk pregnancy. There is a TON of work to do to get this garden back up and running. Help me! ;-)

p.s. I will not be having another tomato/pumpkin jungle this year! hehe It was so insane I was afraid I would fall in and not find my way out!

p.s.s. Here's a pic of Noah! He's such an angel that I almost don't mind that my garden went to pot because he gave me such a hard time when he was in my belly!

{{{{{Tamara}}}}} Welcome back! We know each other from the FlyGarden list too. I'm so glad that you and Noah both made it through OK. I loved the jungle, sure you don't want to do it again? LOL

Hi and welcome back. Very cute little guy you have there, he looks like he is worth a neglected garden for one season. Grow a pumpkin for him this year with his name scratched on it when it is tiny, the name grows with the pumpkin, and then you can sit him on top of it and take his picture to show us. OK?

So here's what I've been up to....
The budget angel in my head is having a conniption because the budget devil just spent a great deal of tax refund money on plants (which was supposed to be used to pay off the big screen TV in full...oops). I am both freaking out and ecstatic right now. *breathe, breathe, breathe* Okay, so here's what I got from bigdipperfarm.com:

I just hope that DH doesn't notice. ;-) Tamara

Hey, Tamara! Nice to see another Ohioan back. :) Good luck on DH not noticing all that. LOL

Painesville, OH(Zone 5b)

Yeah...umm...I've bought even more things since then. He's not likely to notice the plants so much, but the trellises, deck boxes with matching hanging baskets, many new containers, etc...now THAT I might have a hard time pulling off. Well, I've already decided that I will tell him that he can count my garden stuff as my Mother's Day present and my birthday present (which isn't until October...lol). If he knew how much I've spent so far, he'd take it all back. Let me say in my defense that I have 3 boys--5, 3, and 6 months. To say they are a handful is quite an understatement! Gardening is very effective in reducing my stress. With my DH, it's his Mustang, and he doesn't see any problem in spending money on that. As far as I'm concerned, what's fair for the goose is fair for the gander. Of course, he doesn't see it that way, since he's the only one that "works". But most likely, if I'm happy and in a good mood from gardening (and still cleaning the house! ....had a bit of a problem with that last year), he won't really say anything. TAmara
