They have lived outside for three years!

My great begonia has stayed outside and thrived for three years. I don't know the names but they really seem to love the site. The hurricane destroyed our trees but these Begonia never stopped blooming. thanks for looking.

P. S. the pretty bright green plant in the front is a weed!

ssdogwood,

Very colorful begonias and pot. It must be nice to grow outdoors all year long. The ones in bloom are semperflorens aka "wax begonias". The taller one in the back is some kind of cane begonia and looks like 'Torch'.

I thought the bright green plant in the front looked like chickweed! A real menace if left unchecked.

that front plant could be lysimachia?

Not only are your begonias lovely, I LOVE the pot!! I only do container gardening and cane begonias are my passion. I love the wax because they make it through the summer heat here and fill in nicely for the Impatience that throw in the towel about June!

I can relate to plants that survived hurricanes! In the four that FL had in 2004 all the cane Begonias came into my tiny apartment.....try taking a shower with big pushy plants crowded into every space in the bathroom! In the 2005 hurricanes I just gave up showering and made do with hoseing down on the patio. LOL

thanks for the compliment about the " pot" It is not really a flower pot but an old Granite Ware hot watertub that fit on a hot water heater. The blue does got well with the bogina colors.

p.s. glad I ddn't try to bring it in during the hurricane because it weighs a ton!
