I am just gald you liked everything :)
and there is no hurry Allison :) I know everything you send it special :)

They need to stay soggy hun :) Keep them in a little tray of water :)
If they dry out they will most likely die..they live in boggy conditions :)

Lorry another question. Is Twinkle Pink leaves
Ness' or Rob's ?

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Yup they are a trule ground bromeliad :) I thought you might like it and I have more babies then I know what to do with :) I have others of them if you like it....They get to be about 6 inches accross I think or that is the size of mine now :)
Here is a picture from plantifles..the babies pop up between the leaves :) they are truly fun to grow! and if you ever want more varieties let me know .
The twinkle pink would be rob's twinkle pink :)

Lorry, those cryptanthus are adorable! What are their cultural requirements? I am wondering if they would work with succulents (begonia is sending me some!) as underplanting in my citrus tree pots....

Allison, folks sure are keeping you busy potting up leaves & babies from their boxes! I can't wait to send you a box too!

She is sending me some also :) I have a succulent garden in my back yard :) I would also be thrilled to share cryptanthus and succulents with ya.
I dont' think they would work with succulents as they like to be watered pretty frequently.
My are growing int he pt above outside in 9B weather..I have had them for a long time with no worries.
They say they can be drier also so may work...I guess you never know until you try

OK... well, if a cryptanthus baby happens to jump into my box, I will be sure to give it a moist pot of its own, LOL! Hmm, actually, I'll bet they would also be pretty in a mixed pot (just not under the citrus tree with the succulents)... I'm imagining trailing coleus or creeping charlie spilling over the edge of the container, maybe something tall in there too.... They don't like it boggy the way pitcher plants or horsetail rush do, right?

LOL..I am sure one *or maybe more* will do just that Critter :)
They can be outside here as long as they are covered...they are not full sun plants :)
So you could probably have it out for the summer :)

Oh no..they like damp but boggy would kill them. I water mine every couple of days.
