Frost damage to spindle palm

Lutz, FL(Zone 9a)

We just had a bad frost recently, and my spindle palm is getting browner every day. I know they don't like cold temperatures. Have I lost it?

Spindle palms don't like frost, that's for sure. WE can barely grow them out here in California, unless tried right on the coast. Sounds like the bud may have frozen. Yank on the spear, and if it comes out, that's the end. If not, you can try drenching it in an antifungal and hope it comes back. As long as there is a green spike that doesn't pull out, you have hope.

Thanks. It doesn't have anything that can be pulled out yet. I have never heard of an antifungal, though. What is it?
