Gorgeous April.

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

I got this one from Bluebird- I really like them, she sent me nice plants, healthy and most of them in bloom. Only disappointment was the Pow Wow issue- and I don't want to talk about that or I will be forced to go back to Heroin. LOL- god I hope everybody knows that's a joke, I know you do Begonia.

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

you missed on on ebay last week, didn't sell!

And yea, lay off the heroin or I'l have to break out my crack pipe! (kidding folks)

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

I bid on one on ebay last week 3.99 and I was the only bidder, forgot to check back and someone got it for 4.25 or close to it. Anyway I have ordered one from that other violet place, this alzheimers, anyway they are shipping in March- so close and yet still so far away. I told them that Pow Wow was more important than life itself, he hung up on me, no kidding again. But I did tell him that it was important. Anyway, we shall see.

So very pretty!! I love different!

TFS!

oh, I though it didn't sell. Don't worry you'll get Pow Wow soon.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Beautiful hugh bloom ! Thanks for sharing . I think Jill and Lorry ordered Pow Wow from Violet Gallery soon everyone will have one !

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

I think I order from Violet Gallery as well. I figured that if I don't get one somebody I know will feel so sorry for me that they will put down a leaf for me. If I actually end up w/ more than one, so much the better, then I can make a gift of one to some one who wants it as badly as I do. I may force them to take my husband along w/ Pow Wow- I am nice, but I am still trying to acheive nirvana and clearly haven't made it yet!

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

That is lovely!!!

Lilburn, GA

what is so special about Powwow???

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

You got me ? I don't know.

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

I think it's the unobtainable that is holding the fascination...she can't seem to win it on ebay, she always get beat at the last second

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Well with 20 thousand gorgous African violets why not get facinated with some that cost less easier to get. lol I'll tell you what I've grown a few Pow WOW's gave Mom plant blooming away . Last year Pow Wow was cheap not as popular. Next year it will be something different ! I have also grown a few Mac's Scarlet O'Hara and it's variegation, bloom, growth habits are way better than Pow Wow by experience I'd say. I know Jan FL has a Pow WOW I transplanted it for her ! And few people have ordered it from Violet Gallery so by Fall they'll be babies and leaves of Pow Wow plentyful to be share !

Thanks!

We took an extended trip to San Antonio to visit family we never knew we had until recently. It was a wonderful trip.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Nanna you're back! I've missed you!!!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

(((Nanna))) Hope you had a wonderful trip!

April, you know I'll share leaves or a plant with you if I get a pot with suckers from VG! (Since I'll probably be picking my order up, I figure I'll have a better shot at multi-plant pots, hee hee.)

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

Critter- you dog! I can't find any local AV places- Teas and Cornelius Nursery are big out here and carry AVs but they carry Optimara NOIDS- nothing wrong with that perse, but it doesn't help me get Pow Wow/ You are a dear to share/put leaves down- I am forever in your debt.

As to what's so special about Pow Wow, well what can I say, 1st off I am a sucker for variegated leaves and from photos it appears that PW has lots of variegation, pale yellow and the flower is red- the contrast is delightful! It's just so darn cute! Add to that the fact that several of us have ordered it from Bluebird and w/ her permission rec'd alternate selections because she doesn't have available stock.

Nanna! you were 2 hours from me and didn't stop?! LOL. Hope you had a good trip.
