Has anyone in canada ever tried to order growbags from Cropking?I recently tried cause they were waaay cheaper than any I found up here(only one source).I had asked that they ship postal cause UPS and Fedex have a very sneaky way of asking for $$ at your door(40-50$) even after you have paid their quoted price up front..This has happened everytime I order and its shipped UPS or Fedex.Never happens with the postal.
But crop king won,t accept credit card payment for international shipments(according to Ray Lawless..cropking)I,m sure I have ordered from them in the past.He says they end up being burned for the sale????Can,t see how. They bill b4 they send...no problem..Hmmm
.Most all my US business is via creditcard and the internet..Never a problem yet.he further states that I should send wire transfer and they would not only charge the usual shipping,(of course) but add a $20 wire transfer fee.Sounds like the sorta scam UPS and Fedex have..More $$$
so..anybody know where I can get growbags in canada..

grow bags from cropking
Is this what you mean?
"Filled Perlite Grow Bag
The Perlite Grow Bag System is the newest and perhaps simplest growing method available for hydroponic tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and more. Each bag contains approximately 1 cu.ft. of perlite and is 42" in length and approximately 8" wide by 6" high. It is designed to hold three tomato plants or two cucumber plants. The bags are also available empty to fill yourself (PER1000)."
(Sorry I forgot the pic wouldnt post)
There is a garden centre in Calgary called Garden Retreat( www.buyagreenhouse.com) that sells a system called Maxikap which uses a planter bag. Check it out. Probably sold in lots of places. It is not a hydroponic system - it is a soil filled bag and a self watering resevoir system.
