Ali, you should submit your plant photo to AVSA, theirs is blurry and hard to see, your second one makes me want it now! When I looked over at AVSA, I though, naw, it's kind of boring. BUT wow, your's is a beauty. So pure!
here's theirs

Wowo cherry smoke is a STUNNER :)
actually they ALL are :)
Evergrace is my favorite of the space babies!
uh oh... now you've gone and done it Ali, I might have to start an 'Ever' obsession! That one is KILLER!!!
you know we're like a bunch of drug addicts hanging around with a bunch of pushers. LOL. Good thing these are healthy addictions!!
thanks for posting your beauties.
Thank you very much for showing them to us, Violet!
I think I have some evergrace babies and other everfloris varieties if you want some Laurie :)
Yes I have lots of Space babies growing this one has been adopted out but been too cold . They have some sisters EverLove, EverSpecial , Everrejoice they will be travling with, Maybe others if their large enough !
I will be putting more Space babies for adoption soon.
Lorry I love Ness' Cherry Smoke it's to die for :))
Silver Wings too ! Another great Vintage you don't see often.
They are both GORGEOUS!
Lorry, my EverRejoice is the leaf that is my first to put up pups. It's slowed down and others are passing it by. But I at least have one started. Ali sent me the leaves in Nov. and they are starting to show off. Well one is, the other is shy and taking her time about things..

the babies are quite a bit bigger now.
I have leaves up but the ones I have now were suckers :)
My everfloris seem to sucker like nuts :)
and I haev been getting basket babies like crazy lately :) so feeling lucky :)
Go you have the other everfloris varieties Laurie?
If not..I can bring some along on sunday :)
Nope Lorry, just the one leaf that Ali sent me. It's the one with babies.
I think their ruffled foliage is so nice!
At my AVSA meeting last month one of the board members told me that the Space Babies are some of the easiest to grow, propagate and flower all the time. He said they are very reliable.
It seems that this girl is a bit slow in her development, and other leaves I have down are surpassing her in growth, but I suppose that means nothing. She'll catch up...
and you are another lucky duck with your basket babies!
Allison, great pictures all are so beautiful. Thanks for sharing with us.
I will bring one of each sucker I have for ya then :)
On basket babies. I have some varieties that seem to have basket babies like nuts..others not at all :)
So I think it depends on the plant :) Just a guess here :)
Wow! super Lorry - thanks so much! and I can't wait to see Fisherman's Paradise! That was one of the first I drooled over!
Thanks Jan ! Thanks everyone. I have all kinds of Space babies growing. Most in their own pots but still small.
I find them slow progated and growing. I bet Evergrace took a almost a good year to get this size from leaf and bloom.
Most plants grown by leaf do take 6-12 months to bloom. There are always exceptions of ones blooming younger even when with Mom leaf but I say the average is 6-9 months from the time a leaf is put down and lots of time one year.
Another reason everyone should grow by leaf to know how much work goes into growing a baby African violet plant.
Allison....your pics are just great. Thanks so much for sharing.
Deb
Your welcome Deb. Hope you like the preview first bloom of one of your babies :))
Oh wow Allison. The first two are beautiful. They are also one of my hubby's favorites. I love the ones that are white with coloring around the outside of the flower. That looks very similar to the one that I had that was my favorite. I am hoping that I can find that first one this spring. I might just have to order one of those when the weather gets warmer.
JesseK
Thanks Jesse ! I like the white flowers with color edging too. Ness' Cherry Smoke the color is so striking deep bright vivid super wow ! My hubby loves it. his favorite. He likes thumb prints flowers too.
Allison
Wow. Now I know what I can look forward to from the Cherry Smoke you gave me. Can't wait for blooms!
Oh yes Jan you got the bigger baby ! And the other one got adopted yesterday ! I also put a few more leaves from Mom plant down of her yesterday. Her flowers are larger and stunning !
Since you are posting your AV's do you have one for 'Raspberry Queen'? I have not found a picture of it yet. thanks,
Linda
